Spend the day relaxing on the farm; visit the farm animals during their daily activities, play a game of croquette, or nap on the hammock. The surrounding acreage of the farm provides an ideal environment for hiking, exploring and bird watching. As the last patches of snow surrender to the warm, spring sun, the woods are suddenly blanketed with wild violets and crocuses and brilliant yellow patches of daffodils are soon to follow. Songbirds find their way back to the farm singing their cheery songs. In the farmyard, visit the hen house, full of newborn chicks, while collecting eggs. Visit the farm horses as they graze the plush green fields. Once again, the soil is prepared for the vegetable, herb, and flower gardens. These bounteous gardens provide a magnificent assortment of vegetables from spring until fall. Summertime is busy on the farm; canning, hay making, and other farm projects seem endless. The fence rows are fragrant with wild honeysuckle. Mornings are soft and hazy, days are long, and evenings filled with fireflies. As autumn approaches, flocks of geese fly high over the fields honking as they pass. The last of the garden is harvested for the coming winter. The barns come alive in the winter months and the animals don their plush winter coats. The fields become a winter wonderland scene with wildlife seen from within beside a warm, cozy fire.
